ADEOS INTERNATIONAL SENEGAL Celebrates its 3rd year
On 20 October 2017, the Adeos International Senegal adventure began. Happy Birthday to Malick and his team. Today, 9 Senegalese employees work in Dakar. For 3 years, they have put all their energy into sharing our expertise in Senegal and beyond.
Senegal is one of the most stable countries in Africa. In addition, its economic growth is among the strongest on the continent, still above 6% between 2014 and 2018. Despite all this, only 42% of rural Senegalese households have access to electricity. The state is invested and is currently developing programmes to improve the electricity grid.
Since 2017, Adeos International Senegal has been contributing its expertise to the project. However, the global COVID-19 pandemic has decreased the country’s economic growth. According to the World Bank, the crisis could jeopardise recent socio-economic gains. Our role in Senegal is all the more important now. We must collectively make the ambition of universal access to electricity a reality.
