Precast concrete substation approved by the SENELEC
The Adeos International precast concrete substation has received official ratification by the SENELEC, the National Electricity Company of Senegal (Société nationale d’électricité du Sénégal). This approval is essential to selling the product on the Senegalese public market.
A french-approved product
Senelec manages the production, transport, distribution and sale of electric power in Senegal. In 2019, a delegation visited the head office of Adeos International in Redon (Brittany, France). They came at our request to evaluate the precast concrete transformer substation.
After an initial inspection, Senelec submitted some observations to us. We were able to resolve them quickly with some minor changes.
On 14 May 2019, Adeos International received official approval for its precast concrete substation (Gainde) from Senelec.
Innovation specially designed for Senegal
The Gainde transformer substation is an innovation designed by our research department. It features an MV/LV aisleway and a transformer section, so it is suitable for all standard and customised public or private distribution schemes.
This product was specially developed for Senegal. Not only does it meet all the standards and requirements of the Senegalese market, it has a light yet strong structure. It is therefore easily transportable while being shock-resistant and long-lasting.
A vital approval
Approval from Senelec is mandatory in Senegal for deployment on the electricity network. First of all, it stipulates that the substation must match each one of their specifications. It must then attest that the product complies with standard IEC 62271-202.
To date, we are one of only two Senegalese companies to have obtained this.
Gainde precast concrete substations are assembled by Adeos international Senegal in Dakar and sold across the country.
